Weekly Hotness – Divas/Knockouts
Your destination to see some very beautiful women…And a cheap way to get more hits on the site…
I REGRET NOTHING!!!
Velvet Sky– September 30th, 2011
In the Indys, she was known as Talia Madison, but to fans of TNA Wrestling fans, she is known as Velvet Sky, formerly one half of The Beautiful People alongside Angelina Love and now she is my 2nd choice for the Weekly Hotness. She is not only a former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion but she is one of the most popular Knockouts in TNA Wrestling.
Eve Torres – October 7th, 2011
The beautiful WWE Diva began her career as a model and dancer. She was a dancer for the Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team and has appeared in several television shows like Deal Or No Deal, Sunset Tan and Show Me The Money. In 2007, Eve won the 2007 WWE Divas Search and earned a WWE contract. On the April 12, 2009 edition of Monday Night RAW, Eve became the WWE Divas Champion against Maryse. She became the Divas Champion again back at the 2011 Royal Rumble winning a Fatal Four Way Match involving then champion Natalya, Michelle McCool and Layla. Eve is trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and holds a Blue Belt from the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Torrance, California. A beautiful woman that can kick some ass…That’s a good combo.
Mickie James – October 14th, 2011
Mickie James is the first Diva/Knockout to pull off the current Triple Crown when it comes to Women’s Wrestling as she is the first to hold the WWE Women’s Championship, WWE Divas Championship and TNA Knockouts Championship throughout her career. Mickie began her pro wrestling career by joining various independent leagues and had a brief stint in TNA back in 2003 as part of The Gathering alongside Raven, CM Punk and Juilo Dinero under the name Alexis Laree. She was then signed to a developmental deal with WWE in 2003 still using the name Alexis Laree. She was then called up to the WWE in 2005 and started an angle that would sky-rocket her career by being the “Obsessed Fan” of Trish Stratus which lasted onto Wrestlemania 22 where she became the WWE Women’s Champion for the first time against Trish Stratus. She would later become Women’s Champion 4 more times and became WWE Divas Champion at Night Of Champions against Maryse. Mickie was released from WWE in 2010 and then returned to TNA and feuded with then Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne and Tara (Formerly WWE’s Victoria). Mickie became the TNA Knockouts Champion after defeating Rayne at TNA Lockdown 2010 in a Steel Cage Match. She would later win back the title on the June 23rd edition of IMPACT Wrestling against Winter only to lose the title at No Surrender to Winter. She now has a shot at the Knockouts title this Sunday in a Four Way Match against Winter, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne.
Beth Phoenix – October 21st, 2011
Beth Phoenix is described as a diva that is the perfect combination of beautiful looks and dominate power. She has racked quite an impressive career in the WWE as she is a 3 Time WWE Women’s Champion, 2008 Slammy Award Winner for Diva Of The Year and has become the Divas Champion for the first time defeating Kelly Kelly at the WWE Hell In A Cell Pay Per View this year. She is also one half of the Divas Of Doom alongside second generation Diva Natalya. Beth is poised to hold onto the Divas title for a long time and there may be no argument on that issue.
Brooke Tessmacher – October 29th, 2011
Brooke began her career as a model modeling for companies like Hawaiian Tropic and Vertical Smiles and appeared on several shows like Ritmo Deportivo and G4′s Street Furry. She was a featured model on Bikini Destinations. Afterwards, she decided to start her career in professional wrestling. She first tried out in the 2006 WWE Diva Search but failed to make the top 8. Despite that, she did get a WWE Developmental contract and was sent to OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). She was then transferred to Deep South Wrestling and served as a valet but then later became a professional wrestler losing in her debut match against Angel Williams (Angelina Love). She was then called up to the WWE to be apart of the ECW Brand as a part of the group Extreme Expose alongside Kelly Kelly & Layla. Extreme Expose was basically a dance group that have weekly dancing segments on the ECW Weekly TV Show. On November 1st, 2007, Brooke was released from her contract from WWE. In March 2010, Brooke debuted in TNA under the name Miss Tessmacher (which is loosely named after Lex Luthor’s assistant & girlfriend in the two Superman Movies) to serve as Eric Bischoff’s assistant. She was later put in as Knockouts Law until she was removed as Bischoff’s assistant and Knockouts Law two weeks later then was sent to become a pro wrestler. She made her IMPACT return on the December 16th, 2010 edition of IMPACT Wrestling as the tag team partner of Mickie James in the Knockouts Tag Team Tournament, only to lose in the first round to Madison Rayne & Tara. Brooke then suffered an out of the ring injury on Christmas Day suffering a broken jaw. She then returned to action on the April 21st, 2011 edition of IMPACT Wrestling and at the April 21st edition of IMPACT Wrestling, she and Tara defeated Mexican America’s Rostia and Sarita to become the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions. Brooke and Tara were champions for 106 days.
Maryse Ouellet – November 4th, 2011
he lovely French Canadian began her career as a beauty pageant contestant by winning the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2003 and finished 2nd in the International Finals of the Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2004 Pageant and was on the cover of Playboy’s 2007 Girls Of Canada. In the summer of 2006, Maryse tried out for the Diva Search competition and was put in the top 8 but was eliminated from the competition being the second one eliminated out of the top 8. Maryse then signed a developmental deal with WWE in August of 2006 and was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). She would later be the manager of Sylvain Grenier on both OVW and WWE House shows. She was transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in the Summer of 2007 and became a manager of the likes of Ted DiBiase Jr., Ryan O’Riley and Lacey Von Erich. On the September 22, 2006 edition of WWE Smackdown, Maryse made her WWE debut welcoming the Montreal viewers to Smackdown. She has also appeared on the Timbaland Music Video “Throw It On Me” alongside various WWE Divas. Maryse would make her in-ring debut on the March 28th, 2008 edition of Smackdown in a Wet and Wild Match teaming with Victoria (Now Tara in TNA) against Michelle McCool & Cherry. Maryse then got in a feud with Michelle McCool for the WWE Divas Championship. Maryse got her first shot at the Divas title at the 2008 Unforgiven Pay Per View but lost to McCool. She did win the Championship on the December 26th, 2008 edition of Smackdown defeating the rival McCool. Maryse held onto the title for 216 days, the longest title reign in the history of the Divas title until she lost the title to Mickie James at the 2009 WWE Night Of Champions Pay Per View. She would later regain the title belt on the February 22nd, 2010 edition of WWE RAW defeating Gail Kim in the finals of an 8 Diva Tournament for the championship. She would lose the title belt to Eve Torres on the April 12th, 2010 edition of WWE RAW. In June of 2010, Maryse would become the new personal assistant of Ted DiBiase Jr. then she became the co-host of the 5th Season of WWE NXT entitled, WWE NXT: Redemption. On the April 12th, 2011 edition of NXT, Maryse was given a choice between Ted DiBiase or staying on NXT as the Co-Host in which Maryse chooses being the Co-Host of NXT. She was involved in a couple of Love Storylines involving Yoshi Tatsu, NXT Redemption Rookie Lucky Cannon and then later Hornswaggle. In late August, Maryse underwent surgery for an abdominal hernia and took time off of WWE Programming. After two months of inactivity, WWE released Maryse from her contract.
So Cal Val – November 11th, 2011
SoCal Val hasn’t been seen much in TNA (or IMPACT Wrestling) as of late. By that, I mean not in a major storyline like she had when she was the manager of Jay Lethal who was in the “Black Machismo” character and Val was Jay Lethal’s version of Miss Elizabeth which in a way kinda works when you look back at it all. But still anytime SoCal Val is on TV, even for a little bit is good enough for me in my eyes.
Kelly Kelly – December 1st, 2012
There are many that love her and some who don’t for some reason. But Kelly Kelly had one hell of a 2011. She’s been in this year’s Maxim Hot 100, she’s on the cover of the latest Maxim Magazine and to top it off, she became WWE Divas Champion and had held it for about 4 months before losing the title to “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix at the 2011 Hell In A Cell Pay Per View. All in all, Kelly Kelly has gone a long way from starting her WWE career in the ECW brand as an “exhibitionist”. She is one of the most well known divas in the WWE roster today and who knows if she can top the year she’s having now. Time will tell.
Bella Twins – February 3rd, 2012
Before the Twins made their mark in the WWE, they made their first Television apperance on the Fox Reality Show, Meet My Folks. Following that, they were hired to be the World Cup Twins for Budwiser and participated in the 2006 International Body Doubles Twins Search. They then competed in the 2006 WWE Divas Search but they didn’t make the cut. They would later be signed to a WWE Developmental Deal in 2007 and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling. On the August 29th, 2008 edition of Smackdown, The Bellas made their debut as Brie Bella took on Victoria. In each match, Brie would slide under the ring and then her Twin Sister Nikki would enter without the referee knowing and enter into the match. The Bellas would later be revealed in late November 2008. They were traded to ECW in June 2009 but then was sent to RAW on October 12th, 2009 as part of a Multi-Diva Trade. The Bellas remained on RAW ever since and one of the Bellas, Brie Bella would become WWE Divas Champion on an April 11th, 2011 edition of RAW defeating Eve Torres. Only for her to lose the title to Kelly Kelly at the 2011 WWE Over The Limit Pay Per View.
Christy Hemme – April 12th, 2012
Christy Hemme was introduced to the Pro Wrestling world as the winner of the 2004 Diva Search which also had Maria Kanellis and Michelle McCool. Since then she was on the cover of Playboy Magazine and had a WWE Women’s title match against Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 21. She was released from the WWE in 2005 and arrived in TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling. She got involved in a few storylines and was the Manager of the Rock n’ Rave Infection. She then became an in-ring competitor in 2008 and was heading for a chance at the TNA Knockouts Championship but her in-ring career ended due to injury. She now’s a ring announcer and ringside correspondent for TNA Wrestling.
Layla El – June 19th, 2012
As of making this blog, Layla is the NEW WWE Divas Champion in her first match back from injury of a tears in the Anterior cruciate and Medial collateral ligaments. I have to say, it’s great to see her back in action. Her beauty was really missed and she had improved greatly before the injury.
AJ Lee – May 7th, 2012
Before hitting it big in the WWE, AJ (Real Name: April Jeanette Mendez) attended New York University’s Tisch School Of The Arts where she majored in Film and Television Production. After graduating high school, AJ enrolled in a wrestling school one mile near her house and to pay for her tuition for school, she began working full-time and became an official wrestling student. In October 2008, AJ debuted in WSU (Women Superstars Uncensored) as Miss April where she would later become WSU Tag Team Champion with her partner Brooke Carter. In 2009, she and Jay Lethal would win the 2009 WSU/NWS King and Queen Tournament after defeating Jana & Danny Demanto in the finals. AJ would later sign a contract with WWE on May 5th, 2009 and was sent to FCW under the name April Lee. During her time in FCW, she became the first Diva to win the Queen of FCW & the FCW Divas Championship. AJ would later be selected to be apart of WWE NXT Season 3 with WWE Superstar Primo as her pro on that season. AJ did pretty good on that season until she was eliminated on the November 23, 2010 edition of NXT. AJ would officially make her debut as part of the WWE Roster on a May 27th, 2011 edition of Friday Night Smackdown teaming up with NXT Season 3 winner Katlynn, naming themselves The Chickbusters in a loss to Alicia Fox and Tamina. In November 2011, she would be involved in a romantic storyline with Daniel Bryan, who would later win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship the next month after cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase and defeating the Big Show. On the January 13, 2012 edition of Smackdown, AJ accompanied Daniel Bryan in his World Title defense against The Big Show. Later in the match, Big Show would accidentally run over AJ as he was chasing Daniel Bryan on the outside, “injuring” her in the process. She would later return but was served as a dedicated and mistreated girlfriend to the now turned heel World Champion Daniel Bryan. Then at Wrestlemania, Daniel Bryan’s World Title reign would end losing to Sheamus in 18 seconds after the Brouge Kick after AJ gave Bryan a good luck kiss. The Smackdown after Wrestlemania, Bryan blamed the loss on AJ and ended their “relationship”. After many tries to reconcile the relationship then failing, AJ’s attitude began to change and turns her affection to WWE Champion CM Punk as well as Kane to connect the feud between Punk, Kane and Bryan. AJ is proving to be great in her role as the “Jilted, Kinda-Psycho” Diva. But she is also a very skilled wrestler in the ring so I’m hoping that we can see more of AJ in action and maybe after her current storyline, she would go after the Divas Title.
Taryn Terrell – August 31st, 2012
It had been a while since this week’s Weekly Hotness had arrived on Television. But she did recently as part of TNA as the official referee for the Knockouts Division and I have to say, that’s a good thing. The former Diva Search Contestant turned former ECW GM is a true example of a knockout no doubt about it. Also, she did pose nude for Playboy…Google it…You’re welcome!
Tara – October 18th, 2012
At Bound For Glory, she became the TNA Knockouts Champion for the 5th Time against a past Weekly Hotness, Brooke Tessmacher. She is one of the oldest Knockouts/Divas in the Weekly Hotness at 41 years old. But her beauty mixed in with a strong edge makes sure that age ain’t nothing but a number. Here is this week’s Weekly Hotness, Tara (Formerly Known as Victoria in the WWE).
